Easter is only days away and the Sensori+ team are busy packing and posting last minute Easter orders! This month we have been highlighting our Macedon Trail scent, and what better way to celebrate the Easter Weekend than with a quick getaway to this gorgeous region. Here’s our guide to an Easter Weekend in the Macedon Ranges:
Cleveland Winery is hosting an epic easter egg hunt for the kids of winers and diners on Easter Saturday and Sunday at 11.30am in their country gardens. Cleveland will also be open for both tastings and dining over the Easter weekend, as well as activities such as underground cellar wine tasting, farm animal tours and onsite adventure activities such as segway riding, archery, laser clay shooting and paddle boats.
Nothing says country charm like arts and crafts and there are a range of fun Easter markets on across the weekend. Trentham Easter Art and Craft Show is held from Good Friday 19 April until Easter Sunday 21 April at the Mechanics Institute Hall from 10am-4pm. Woodend also has their own arts and crafts market in the local art Group’s beautiful gallery at Woodend Railway Station. Framed and unframed paintings, clay work, jewellery, woodwork, prints, cards, feltwork will be available to purchase and a gold coin donation entitles you to tea, coffee, cake and a ticket into the daily draw for an original artwork.
All these activities are bound to work up and appetite! Good thing foodies are spoilt for choice with dining options in the Macedon Ranges. Whether it be a classic country pub meal at Trentham’s Cosmopolitan Hotel a quick treat from the famous Macedon Bakery or an intimate degustation at Source Dining in Kyneton, there is bound to be an option to suit your taste and to cure your hunger for a hearty Easter lunch or dinner. Our only tip is to book in now as the best places will be in high demand!
